okay so i went to see franz ferdinand earlier this week.  nuff said.  they played all the great songs: matinee, darts of pleasure, 40', auf achse, outsiders, you're the reason i'm leaving, etc.  i wish they had played cheating on you and eleanor put your boots on, though.  i love COY like i love food, and eleanor put your boots on is just so catchy and different from their standard fare.  anyways, my sources had told me that during this run of shows people had mostly been indifferent during the older/less known songs, so it was oddly satisfying to see large masses of people bumpin' and grindin' during matinee.  i was pleasantly surprised by auf achse: it's a good song and all, but it's never been one of my favorites.  however this time around it was great somehow.  i wish i'd been able to take some pictures though.  that would've been sweet.
